I have been researching ways to support clients with healthy weight loss options. I am concerned that so many are using GLP-1 medications. While a few of my clients have good outcomes-losing weight. I have noticed that it remains a challenge to keep the weight off and underlying symptoms of hormone dysregulation and sleep disturbance, anxiety and depression remain a concern.
As you know I like to look at lifestyle and root cause. I have been in great conversation with an incredible heart centered human, Sachin Patel from Living Proof Institute, who has made it his mission to support lifestyle changes and bio-hacks to help people not only lose weight but gain a foundation of health. The information he shared with me was so simple, so cost effective and life changing.
When I started to have the thought of teaching his methods to you and how to fit that it to what I am already doing…well, that was feeling like another direction that I could just ask for help with and decided it would be even better to let him to the work that is his superpower and let me do my work that is my superpower. I LOVE creating conscious relationships! If you have any interest in more information book a zoom with Sachin. (Check out the success stories!) https://thelivingproofinstitute.com
GLP-1 receptor agonists, commonly used as weight loss drugs, can be effective for some individuals but also come with potential risks and side effects. Here are some of the dangers associated with these medications:
Gastrointestinal Issues: Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and constipation are common side effects. These can be mild to severe and may affect daily life.
Hypoglycemia: Although less common, there is a risk of low blood sugar, especially when combined with other diabetes medications.
Pancreatitis: There is a potential risk of inflammation of the pancreas, which can be serious and requires immediate medical attention.
Gallbladder Problems: Some users may experience gallstones or other gallbladder-related issues.
Kidney Issues: There have been reports of kidney problems, including acute kidney injury, particularly in those with pre-existing kidney conditions.
Thyroid Tumors: In animal studies, some GLP-1 drugs have been linked to an increased risk of thyroid tumors, though this has not been conclusively shown in humans.
Allergic Reactions: As with any medication, there is a risk of allergic reactions, which can range from mild to severe.
While GLP-1 medications may offer short-term benefits, the potential risks and side effects remind us of the importance of holistic, sustainable solutions. I'm grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with Sachin Patel and explore transformative lifestyle changes that empower us to build a solid foundation of health. I encourage you to reach out to Sachin for more insights and support.
Remember, it's about finding what truly works for you.
❤️ In heart,
Laurie
